Donkey Creek Chum Festival
November 17th 2018 | 12:00 pm - 4:00 firstname.lastname@example.org
Location: Harbor History Museum, 4121 Harborview Drive, Gig Harbor
Every year, the greater Gig Harbor community celebrates the return of the salmon to their local waters. The Chum Festival serves to remind them that the quality of their water, and the habitat it supports, connects them all. Join festival hosts Harbor WildWatch and the Harbor History Museum, as well as community partners, for a fun afternoon of activities as they commit to new ways to improve and protect their waterways. Kids, adults, and families will enjoy a variety of environmental booths, activities, and resources including guided estuary tours, face painting for kids, chum burgers and snacks, live local music, canoe, kayak, and paddleboard races, salmon-themed art displays, and stewardship tips and workshops.
