Interfaith Discussion: Promoting Community, Rejecting Tolerance

March 15th 2018 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Indivisible Gig Harbor | (281) 687-4874 |
Location: Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard

Indivisible Gig Harbor, a grassroots coalition of engaged citizens pursuing progressive action, and Open Hearts, a local organization of citizens for diversity, will host “Interfaith Discussion: Promoting Community, Rejecting Tolerance”. Hate groups across the nation have become increasingly brazen in spreading their messages of bigotry and exclusion. Here in Gig Harbor, our town has been targeted with posters and banners from groups spouting racist, anti-Muslim, and anti-Semitic propaganda. Join us for an important interfaith discussion on how we can work to resist such messages of hate in our communities. We’ll have a distinguished panel of clergy and community leaders from local Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities. They’ll share wisdom from their faith traditions on the issue of religious inclusion and diversity—and lead us in a discussion of what we all can do to address the dangerous problem of religious intolerance. Event Information Thursday, March 15, 2018 6:30PM - 8:00PM Gig Harbor Marina and Boatyard 3117 Harborview Dr. Gig Harbor, WA 98335 The event is free, open to the public, kid friendly, and no tickets are required.
