Elgar and Sibelius, conducted by Sarah Ioannides and featuring Efe Baltacigil, cello.

Samuelsson: “The Eros Effect & Solidarity” from The Love Triology (US Premiere)
Elgar: Cello Concerto
Sibelius: Symphony No. 2

Marie Samuelsson’s music is sparse and lush at the same time–and deeply spiritual. Sarah Ioannides conducted the 2016 World Premiere of "The Eros Effect and Solidarity" in Sweden; now she presents the U.S. premiere. Seattle Symphony principal cellist Efe Baltacigil makes his Symphony Tacoma debut in Elgar’s contemplative and elegiac Cello Concerto.
