3rd Annual "Gigging Up the Harbor" Downtown Waterfront Alliance Sponsoring Spring Clean-Up Day
Gig Harbor, WA - The Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance has announced that their 3rd Annual downtown waterfront clean-up day is scheduled for Saturday, May 20, 9am to 12:00noon. Under the direction of the Alliance's Design Committee, last year's "Gigging Up the Harbor" saw over fifty volunteers show up to sweep, pressure wash sidewalks, weed and plant flower beds, and more.
This is a great opportunity for people to put their community pride into action. It is a BYOT event (bring your own tools, including gloves, shovels, rakes, etc). Meet at Donkey Creek Park at 9am to receive your assigned area and pick up your safety vest, and join others as we help get the downtown waterfront ready for our summer visitors. Then plan to join the entire group back at Donkey Creek at 12:00 noon for a volunteer appreciation lunch provided by area restaurants and businesses.
