Gig Harbor, WA – The 7th annual Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival is more than just a wine and food tasting event. It’s a complete entertainment experience centered around wine, spirits, brews and food from the Pacific Northwest. Sip & Savor Dinners are featured at 3 locations on Friday night, July 28, and the Grand Tasting Event takes place the next day, July 29, from Noon – 4:30 on the grounds of the Harbor History Museum on beautiful Gig Harbor Bay. The entertainment experience begins inside the Chef’s tent at the Grand Tasting Event with some of the region’s best chefs. Four will battle it out in two cook-off competitions with the Chef in the Hat, Thierry Rautureau, moderating the event. Four other well-known chefs and culinary experts will judge the competitions, including the winner of last year’s cook off competition, Chef Roy Breiman, from Copperleaf Restaurant at Cedarbrook Lodge.

Five tasting tents will offer sips from 28 wineries, 4 breweries and 2 distilleries, with savory food tastes being offered by 20 restaurants from the Gig Harbor and Tacoma area. Guests may also attend a wide offering of educational and cooking classes and featured demonstrations. Live music by the Paul Green Jazz/Blues Trio can be heard along the “Creekside Lounge” located behind the Museum near the Midway Schoolhouse. An onsite retail wine store offers the opportunity to purchase favorite wines sampled throughout the day.

The Sip & Savor Dinners on Friday night are being offered by Heritage Distilling Company, JW Restaurant and Morso. To participate, contact the business directly to make reservations.

The Harbor General Store and Ohana Harbor Coffee Company are the Premiere Sponsors of the 7th annual Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival. The event is presented by the Gig Harbor Downtown Waterfront Alliance and the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor.
