Award Winning Landscape Designer Honored as Educator of the Year

Sue Goetz, owner of Creative Gardener, is an award winning landscape designer, garden coach and Certified Professional Horticulturist. The award is given for meritorious service in any ‘education’ function serving the industry.

Long before the current age of self-publishing, Goetz was writing on horticulture and landscape design topics. She is an author who writes for respected industry and regional magazines, newspapers, and horticultural societies. In demand as a speaker, her talks have been highlighted at the Tacoma Home & Garden Show and Northwest Flower & Garden Show. She speaks regularly to garden clubs and at gardening events throughout Western Washington.

Goetz has stayed up-to-date with self-publishing with a educational website and blog. Her articles are technically accurate, uniquely informative, and accompanied by her illustrations and lush photography. Woven into all channels of her educational outreach is the theme “inspiring gardeners to create!” This continues into her most recent endeavor, a design studio located in downtown Tacoma in the Dome District.

This year, Washington State Nursery and Landscape Association (WSNLA) is celebrating 75 years of service to the nursery and landscape industry. WSNLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the success of its members through serving, promoting, representing and educating the horticultural community of Washington State. The WSNLA is the only statewide trade association serving all sectors of the Washington State nursery and landscape industry. For additional information and member referrals visit www.wsnla.org
