Comic Book Artist Jeffrey Veregge To Share His Work

Pierce County READS event scheduled for March 19 in Gig Harbor

Jeffrey Veregge will talk about his artwork depicting modern superheroes blended with tribal icons at 2 p.m. on March 19 at the Gig Harbor Pierce County Library, 4424 Point Fosdick Drive N.W. in Gig Harbor. The event is part of Pierce County READS 2016, which features the work of Native American author Sherman Alexie.

A member of the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, located near Kingston, Wash., Veregge is also of Suquamish and Duwamish tribal ancestry. He graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle and works as lead designer and studio manager for a media agency that specializes in non-profits.
