Gig Harbor's Highly Anticipated Line Up Of 2016 Events Released

Gig Harbor, WA – January 25, 2016 – Gig Harbor, the historic maritime village at the west side of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, is announcing a compelling line up of events for 2016. The full schedule includes year round happenings, festivals, activities, and more.
“Mark your calendar for Gig Harbor’s full line up of family friendly entertainment,” said Karen Scott, Tourism and Communications Director, City of Gig Harbor. “There’s always something fun to do here.”
From now through February 14th, the waterfront Harbor History Museum is presenting “Arts and Artifacts - Gig Harbor Netsheds,” examining the rich history and current influence of Gig Harbor netsheds.
Other highlighted events include the Gig Harbor Paddlers Cup (April 2 and 3), Gig Harbor Garden Tour (June 25 and 26), Gig Harbor Summer Arts Festival (July 16 and 17), Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival (July 21 through 23), and Donkey Creek Chum Festival (Sept. 17) – an activity-filled, community celebration of the return of salmon to local waters.
