HWW 2nd Annual Make Waves: Celebrate, Donate, Educate Benefit
Gig Harbor, WA: Harbor WildWatch is thrilled to host their second annual benefit, Make Waves: Celebrate, Donate, Educate on Thursday, October 13 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at The Club @ the Boatyard in downtown Gig Harbor. Guests will enjoy fresh local food from Sunshine All Naturals catering and Taylor Shellfish Farms, marine-themed beverages from Heritage Distilling Company and Narrows Brewing, and entertainment from local pianist Elijah Bossenbroek. The event will offer a silent auction with a unique mix of local products and experiences, as well as a Raise the Paddle to benefit Harbor WildWatch’s interactive programs.
Since 2004, Harbor WildWatch has delivered fun and innovative educational programs to children and adults in the greater Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula communities. From science, technical, engineering and math workshops in local classrooms to family-friendly beach walks and touch tanks at local parks, Harbor WildWatch has inspired stewardship to over 200,000 residents and visitors in their twelve-year history. The enthusiasm of their youth and adult volunteers as well as the excitement of the kids attending the programs is testament to the positive impact that hands-on science experiences can provide.
By attending the Make Waves event you can show your support for community-based environmental education and a healthy Puget Sound. “Our staff and volunteers deliver over 600 education programs each year. This event will celebrate that success and build support for new educational endeavors in 2017 and beyond.” said Executive Director Lindsey Johnson.
Limited seating is available for this 21+ event, with tickets at $100 per person or $150 per couple.

Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted. All proceeds will directly benefit classroom and outdoor education programs for in the greater Gig Harbor community in 2017.
Harbor WildWatch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit environmental education organization based in Gig Harbor, WA. Founded in 2004, their mission is to inspire stewardship for Puget Sound by providing learning opportunities about the environment to the people in the local community.
