9th Annual Run for Relief: Burma

For a Million People in Burma, Running is Not a Choice...

Since 2004, it’s been our tradition at Chapel Hill to join with thousands around the world on the Global Day of Prayer for Burma by hosting a Run for Relief – Burma. During the second week in March, hundreds of men, women and children walk, pedal or run the 5K course that starts and ends at the church. The run is followed by a program featuring lunch, a local resettling Burmese refugee choir, awards, and prayer for the internally displaced peoples in Burma. This is a time to celebrate our cherished partnership with the Eubanks and Free Burma Rangers, as well as show our unity with the suffering people of Burma. We won’t stop running until Burma is free!

Registration is $15 per individual or $60 for a family (up to 5 immediate family members). There is no cost for the Kid's Dash. Registration price includes a sack lunch (5k and Kid's Dash). Shirts may be purchased in two styles: long-sleeved tech shirt for $15.00 and short-sleeved cotton shirt for $10. Shirts must be ordered by February 29. There may be a limited supply of shirts available for purchase on the day of the event.

Registration is currently online at and available until March 7th. In-person registartion is available Sunday mornings or at the church office (Monday-Thursday, 9am-4pm) Questions? Contact Jennifer Nickels at
