Gig Harbor, WA, September 5th, 2013 – As part of the City of Gig Harbor Council meeting taking place Monday, September 9th at 5:30pm, City Council will be deliberating on proposed amendments to building height and size in the downtown area.  A recommendation from City Council is expected that night.  The Council has considered these amendments twice before on July 8th and July 22nd, with a public hearing on July 8th.

The public is invited to attend the September 9th meeting to hear the Council’s discussion and view a presentation by the staff addressing the Council’s questions from previous meetings.  The purpose of this meeting is for the Council to decide the next steps in the amendment process.  Because the public hearing has already occurred and the comment period has been closed, there will be no public comment period on these amendments at this meeting.  However, if the Council chooses to hold another public hearing at a future Council meeting, a comment period will open and notice will be provided.
