“Art of Chocolate” event offers shopping specials for your Valentine,
Gig Harbor WA, January 11, 2011 – Just in time for Valentine’s Day, the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association is sponsoring “The Art of Chocolate” – a chocolate walk offered in conjunction with the First Saturday Art Walk on Saturday, February 5, 2011.
Visit each store, find the perfect gift for your Valentine, eat a little chocolate, view great art at local galleries and play Bingo to be eligible for prizes. Grand Prize is a Gig Harbor getaway, complete with an overnight stay at the Maritime Inn, dinner for two at Anthony’s Restaurant, and lunch at Morso. Other prizes include a gift certificate from Spiros Bella Nolte, a massage from Jax Salon, a hair cut by Lisa Oslin at Salon Siren, a relaxation gift set from Simply Charmed, and many more too numerous to list!
Over thirty businesses in the historic waterfront district are participating in this mouth-watering promotion. It is free to the public and runs from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Why not plan on an extended stay in the Harbor and enjoy dinner at one of our many fine restaurants and spend the night in one of our wonderful accommodations?
This event offers you the perfect opportunity to put the “shop local” philosophy behind “The 3/50 Project” into action - shop local, support our waterfront businesses and help build our local economy.
The Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to bringing together community and waterfront district stakeholders, encouraging economic vitality and preserving our historic character.
