Bypass Work to Begin on Lift Station #4 at Skansie Park Beginning October 14th

Gig Harbor, WA, October 9th, 2013 – Beginning on October 14th, 2013, work will commence on the installation of an emergency sewer bypass pump at Lift Station #4, located at Skansie Park on Harborview Drive in Gig Harbor. The construction of this temporary bypass pump is necessary until the final location of Lift Station #4 can be ascertained. The temporary installation is scheduled to be completed by October 30, 2013. Skansie Park and Jerisich Dock will remain open for public use, but with limited access. Jerisich Dock Pump-out will be closed for the duration of construction between October 21, 2013 and April 1, 2014.

10/21 Jerisich Dock Pump-out Closes/Excavation Begins*

10/23 @ 11 pm - 10/24 Nighttime Shutdown/Vault, Pump & Piping Installation

10/25 Backfill/Sidewalk Repair

10/28-10/30 Finish Work

*Sidewalk to remain closed 10/21 – 10/25. Please use sidewalk on opposite side of the street.
