City of Gig Harbor to Host Public Reception

City Administrator Candidates Will Be Introduced

The City of Gig Harbor invites the public to meet the candidates for the city administrator position at an open reception on Thursday, June 21st, at 5pm. The reception will be held in the lobby of the Gig Harbor Civic Center, located at 3510 Grandview Street, and will run through 7pm. Light refreshements will be served.

The top four finalists will interview for the city administrator position during that same week. The city administrator is appointed by the mayor to manage the city's daily business, to supervise all city departments and offices, and to carry out the council's policies by directing the work of city staff.

“This is a great opportunity for the citizens to visit with the candidates on a personal level,” says Gig Harbor Mayor Kit Kuhn. “The public is encouraged to attend.”
