The University of Washington Students are now in their 7th week of a 10 week program to study downtown Gig Harbor.

The 2nd “Open House” presentation of their ideas is next Wednesday, August 7th from 4 to 7pm at the Skansie Brothers house on Harborview. The public is invited to drop in, view their ideas, ask questions and give opinions. Don’t miss this opportunity.

The final report of the students will be August 21st; the public will be invited. They will also publish a 150 page book summarizing their ideas and recommendations.

This study by the University of Washington School of Architecture and Planning is being sponsored by the Downtown Waterfront Alliance with the support of the Helix Design Group of Tacoma. Go to www.storefrontstudio.org to see their ideas for Gig Harbor.
