EARTH DAY AT JERISICH DOCK
On Friday, April 22nd, the majestic 133-ft sailing vessel the Adverturess will tie-up to Jerisich Dock and offer FREE TOURS from 10am to 5pm.
As a fellow contestant during the Vote Skansie Netshed campaign last year, the sailing ship Adventuress does extraordinary work around the Puget Sound promoting the benefits of preserving our environment and the 1913 vessel. Our shared commitment to maritime history prompted their decision to sponsor Friday’s event here in Gig Harbor.
Skansie Netshed, the Gig Harbor BoatShop at Eddon Boat and the Harbor History Museum will participate and promote the benefits of environmental and historic preservation to Restore – Renew and Reuse, with activities and tours throughout the day. Harbor WildWatch will be on site (inside the Netshed) with touch-tanks and enthusiastic volunteers ready to educate and inspire stewardship of the Puget Sound.
If you have questions or would like to participate, call Lita Dawn Stanton at (253) 853-7609.
