EDDON BOAT PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT CONSTRUCTION UPDATE- AUGUST 24, 2012
The work includes development of a public park and beach restoration that will be accessible by all citizens. It will include new landscaping with native plants, new grasses, public view areas, and restoration of the associated beach. Construction of this project will be completed in two phases – in-water work of the beach restoration and upland improvements.
Anticipated Upcoming Project Schedule
The contractor hired by the City, “Pivetta Brothers Construction, Inc.”, is scheduled to proceed with the in-water work according to the schedule below:
Work scheduled for the next two weeks:
· Mobilize to the site anticipated September 4, 2012
· Deliver and place clean rocks, gravel and sand
· Grade the gravel and sand
· The pre-construction meeting for this phase of the project was held this week.
The traffic flow at the intersection of Stinson Avenue and Harborview Drive will be disrupted at times. The four public parking stalls at the park will be unavailable during construction activities.
This phase of the project should be done, weather permitting, by September 28, 2012.
