Gig Harbor BoatShop Livery Service now open Fridays
GIG HARBOR, WA – Gig Harbor BoatShop, a maritime non-profit organization, is announcing the return of its popular BoatShop Livery Service for the summer 2017 season. This year, the Livery features expanded hours of operation in response to public demand.
The BoatShop Livery Service provides classic boats available to rent by the hour. The boats are family friendly and perfect for beginner to advanced skippers – no experience is necessary! Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a memorable afternoon cruising Gig Harbor Bay in an electric- or human-powered boat.
The Livery fleet features one-of-a-kind vessels including the electric motor launches A.R. Fisk and Gaylynn, each suitable for up to four passengers. The fleet also includes several human-powered craft for those who prefer rowing. All of the vessels in the fleet have a unique story and were built or restored at Gig Harbor BoatShop by Community Boat Restoration Program participants.
The BoatShop Livery Service is open for the 2017 season with expanded hours. The Livery is open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Boats may be reserved in advance by calling the BoatShop. All members of the public are welcome to utilize the BoatShop Livery Service and no boating experience is required. Gig Harbor BoatShop members enjoy a 50% discount on all Livery rates.
