GIG HARBOR FILM FESTIVAL DRAWS THREE GUEST CELEBS TO SPEAK TO ITS AUDIENCES
October 4, 2010, Gig Harbor WA Karen Black, Hal Linden, and a third celebrity to be announced, will join a panel discussion at the 3rd Annual Gig Harbor Film Festival. The festival will be held the weekend of October 15-17 at the Uptown Galaxy Theater in Gig Harbor.
Karen Black is an actress, singer and songwriter, with prominent roles in films such as Easy Rider, The Great Gatsby, The Day of the Locust, Nashville, Airport 1975, and Hitchcock’s last film, Family Plot. She was nominated for an academy award for her part as Jack Nicholson’s girl friend in Five Easy Pieces.
Hal Linden is well known for the lead role in the very popular Barney Miller TV series, a comedy about a group of zany cops in Greenwich Village, which ran from 1975-1982.
Besides offering a variety of full-feature films, documentaries and shorts, the festival will include a “Kids’ Fest”, and a 72-hour amateur film competition. A Saturday evening awards event will recognize the amateur competition winners, three independent filmmakers selected for cash awards, and an “audience award” based on polling of the festival attendees.

Three-day, all events passes can be purchased for $40.00 and an additional 10% discount is available to those who join the festivals “Reel Friends” group.
