Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront is Decked Out for the Holidays!

Gig Harbor, WA – December 10, 2012 - Twenty waterfront businesses participated in the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association’s second annual “Deck the Harbor” decorating contest as a part of the yearly “Candlelight Christmas in the Harbor” event.  The “Deck the Harbor” panel of judges (Mary DesMarais, Josh Sherwin and Sharon Stearnes) were delighted to see so many wonderfully decorated windows and enjoyed the spirit and enthusiasm shared by the participating businesses. Josh Sherwin, committee chair, said, “Creativity abounds in the waterfront district!  There was such a wide variety of wonderful entries that the judges felt they had to add additional categories to honor all the hard work.”

Please find some time this holiday season to visit all the stores in the Historic Waterfront District and enjoy the festive decorations.  Be sure to stop in at your favorite merchant's display and vote for the People's Choice award!  Look for the sign in the window indicating participating businesses.  Voting continues through December 24th.
