Peninsula Art League's ninth annual juried show is currently on display at the Gig Harbor Civic Center. The exhibition, which features 86 paintings by fine artists from throughout the U.S. and Canada, will run through Dec. 2. Richard McKinley, a well known pastel artist, served as juror.
The show is open for viewing during regular business hours – Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
On Saturday, Nov.5 free docent-lead tours of the exhibit will be available from noon-to-4 p.m. PAL members will lead tour groups through the show, discussing details of each painting, including comments by Mr. McKinley regarding the paintings he selected to receive awards. More than $3,000 in awards were given.
One final award -- the People's Choice -- will be given on Nov. 5. Vote for your favorite painting by noon on that date.
