The Greater Gig Harbor Open Studio Tour, now in its 21st season, becomes a three-day event this year, with studios open September 20, 21 and 22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Twenty-four artists at 21 locations invite the public to visit their studios, where they will display their work, demonstrate and discuss their creative processes, and offer their art for sale. The tour includes artists in the Gig Harbor, South Kitsap, Fox Island, and Key Peninsula areas.

The Greater Gig Harbor Open Studio Tour has been attracting visitors since 1993 and has grown annually as an increasing number of talented artisans have joined its ranks. "Each artist has been juried by a committee of experienced members, and visitors can expect to see high quality work, engage in interesting conversations about the artists' techniques and vision, and enjoy beautiful settings at each stop," says Barb Bourscheidt, chair of the Studio Tour. Artists' mediums include oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, printmaking, drawing, collage, glass, clay, stone, metal, wood, jewelry, and mixed media.

There is no admission charge for the self-guided tour. Visit the tour's website,, for a downloadable, printable map of the area and the location of each studio, as well as images of each artist's work and more information about the artists.

The Greater Gig harbor Open Studio tour is a sponsored project of the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation, a charitable 501 &Copy;3 non-profit organization.
