Gig Harbor Toastmasters Celebrate 17th year with Open House & Guest Speaker

(Gig Harbor, Washington, USA, March 25, 2017) — Gig Harbor Toastmasters (, invites residents to its open house to meet members and watch special guest speaker, Omar Rivas (2011 finalist in the World Championships of Public Speaking and founder of Rivasity, Inc.) talk about the importance of communication skills for today’s professional.

“Gig Harbor Toastmasters provides a supportive and positive environment where members have the opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills,” says Timothy Ramage, President, Gig Harbor Toastmasters.

After hearing from special guest speaker, Rivas, members and guests will enjoy a regular Toastmasters meeting that will include additional prepared speeches from members of the club, Table Topics™ (impromptu speeches) and speech evaluations.

Club Open House Chair Huong Phan, who has served in various club positions notes that, “Table Topics are one of my favorite parts of the meeting,” says Phan. “This is where guests and members are randomly selected to speak for one to two minutes. It helps you think and speak clearly on your feet.”
