Gig Harbor Trolley Service begins June 1st

Pierce Transit Gig Harbor Trolley service will get underway June 1, with service seven days a week through Monday, Sept. 4. The route will run between uptown and downtown, with many stops between the timed bus stop locations that follow. It’s also easy to transfer to other Pierce Transit routes at the Kimball Park & Ride:

• Borgen Blvd. and Peacock Hill;

• Kimball Drive Park & Ride; and

• 45th St. Ct. and Pt. Fosdick.

This year there will be special, supplemental service on Saturday, June 3, to serve the Maritime Yo Ho Harbor Grande Parade. The supplemental service will operate that day from 8:30 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. from the Kimball Park & Ride. Buses will express passengers to a temporary bus stop on Judson Street, just one block from the parade. Service back to the Kimball Park & Ride will resume after the parade and will operate approximately 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Trolley fares for each ride are $.50 for adults (age 19 and up) and youth (ages 6-18), and the service is free for children ages five and under. The service is also free for seniors and persons with disabilities, with presentation of a Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP). Adults and youth may purchase a Pierce Transit All Day Pass for just $1 when purchased aboard the Trolley. ORCA cards may be used, and valid passes and One Ride Tickets may also be used for payment.

Well-behaved, leashed dogs are permitted on the Gig Harbor Trolley.
