Gordon Thomas Honeywell and The INN at Gig Harbor present Workshop
The INN at Gig Harbor and Valarie Zeeck of Gordon Thomas Honeywell present a Harrassment and Discrimination Law Workshop. This training seminar helps participants to quickly learn and apply the important elements of careful and correct handling sexual harassment issues and complaints. This interactive seminar covers a detailed overview of what harassment is (including sexual harassment), explains legal definitions, discusses harassment prevention, and shows how to handle harassment complaints and maintain a positive work environment. It will also cover employee handbooks and what the proper wording is to prevent later issues.
Participants will learn to identify, take action and distinguish potential harassment issues before they occur. This workshop focuses directly on improving skills to handle any harassment issues or complaints with greater confidence and legal understanding. An Overview of Employment Law and Federal Discrimination Laws will also be included. Learn how to establish a Zero Tolerance Policy, avoid employer liability, and avoid employee retaliation.
Valarie S. Zeeck, a partner at Gordon Thomas Honeywell, specializes in Employment Law and Litigation. A Professional Lecturer on Employment Law Topics for Lorman Educaitonal Systems, Ms. Zeeck has over 30 years of legal experience and has been with GTH for 14 years. She advises and trains owners, managers and employees regarding employment law with the goal of reducing litigation expense and risk. She also defends employers in employment-related litigation, focusing on extracting clients from litigation at the earliest possible stage.
