Halloween Entertainment for all Ages in the Historic Gig Harbor Waterfront District

Gig Harbor WA, October 1, 2012 – “Trick-or-Treat in the Harbor,” now in its 16th year, continues to be the place to be on Halloween, Wednesday, October 31st, in Gig Harbor’s Historic Waterfront District, where businesses will greet you while they pass out sweets and treats! Candy will be handed out beginning at 3:00 and ending at 6:00. While you are there, see the Harbor Wild Watch “spooky” touch tank, and Gig Harbor Fire & Medic One will have a fire engine and medic unit on Harborview for kids to see!

Photos of your trick-or-treaters will be available in the Skansie Park pavilion, sponsored by the Rotary Club of Gig Harbor North. Rotary will be accepting $5 cash donations to support the local Food Backpacks for Kids program.

In order to provide a safe venue for all the many Trick-or-Treaters that come to Gig Harbor’s waterfront on Halloween, Harborview Drive will be closed from the intersection of Soundview and Judson, and around the waterfront to Rosedale, as well as Pioneer from Harborview to Tarabochia. We appreciate the community helping us provide a safe place for our children and families to enjoy this festive day.

This annual event draws more than two thousand people to the historic downtown and Finholm Districts and is sponsored by the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association. It is FREE and open to the public.

The Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to bringing together community and waterfront district stakeholders, encouraging economic vitality and preserving our historic character.
