Harbor History Museum 2013 History Rocks Dinner & Auction

Gig Harbor, Wash. – August 13th, 2013 – Mark your calendar, don’t miss out: On September 21, 2013 – 6:00 p.m. Harbor History Museum’s 2013 History Rocks Dinner & Auction will take place in a Tacoma Narrows Airport Hangar.

This is the signature event in Gig Harbor attended by nearly 350 guests, including community leaders, members and supporters of the museum, business owners, executives from local companies, and philanthropists. Proceeds from the event provide vital funding for HHM operations, special and permanent exhibits, student education initiatives, and community programs.

This year’s Honorary Chair will be Jake Bujacich, a former mayor of Gig Harbor, Pierce County Commissioner, and a valued community member and volunteer. In addition, the Bujacich Family has a significant historical connection to the culture and heritage of the Gig Harbor Peninsula.

The theme is Rockin’ at the Netshed! The event will be a fun, historical look back and celebration of a key part of the area’s history. The net sheds along Gig Harbor are a rare source and are a living reminder of what built Gig Harbor. They are a constant and physical reminder of the roots of the city and one of the most successful fishing fleets on the west coast.

The evening begins with a glass of champagne at the door and an exclusive silent auction filled with overflowing baskets, fun packages, and handcrafted items. Guests will be seated for a gourmet meal, followed by a Dessert Dash. After dessert, the live auction begins, with Gig Harbor’s own, Jim Borgen, as auctioneer, featuring one-of-a-kind local experiences and other unique auction items.

Ticket prices: Members: $75 per person/Non-Members: $100 per person. For more information or to purchase tickets online visit
