JAVA & CLAY INTRODUCES ‘PAINT ME A STORY’ FOR KIDS
GIG HARBOR, WA - Java & Clay Cafe, a paint-your-own-pottery studio located in the historic downtown district of Gig Harbor, has announced a new pottery painting program recommended for kids ages 3 - 7. ‘Paint Me A Story’ will offer participants a short story read aloud and a themed pottery painting activity in a private room.
“We hope parents take advantage of this fun program that is both educational and creative,” shares Randy Blue, owner of Java & Clay Cafe. “Kids of all ages love painting. They’re always welcome to drop in anytime at Java & Clay, but this structured program gives parents a set day and time they can visit and feel more supported with supervision while they network with other parents, too.”
The cost will vary based on the piece selected each month, but will generally be around $20 per child. The fee covers the reading time, pottery painting and crackers with juice or water. JCC does require the parent to stay with the child.
The next Paint Me A Story event will be Tuesday, September 16th at 10:00-11:00 a.m., or Friday, October 10th, 10:00-11:00 a.m. If those times do not work, stay tuned because they hope to add additional weekend days and other times after the availability of the private room opens up again after the holidays.
