Learn about First Aid at Sea through Washington Sea Grant

Washington Sea Grant and the Gig Harbor BoatShop at the Eddon Boatyard are co-sponsoring a Coast Guard-approved First Aid at Sea course for commercial fishermen and recreational boaters.

Topics include cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, patient assessment, hypothermia, coldwater near-drowning, shock, trauma, burns, fractures, choking, immobilization techniques, first-aid kits and more.

When: Friday, June 8 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Where: Gig Harbor BoatShop at the Eddon Boatyard, 3805 Harborview Dr., Gig Harbor

The fee for the workshop is $80 ($40 for active commercial fishermen). Pre-registration is required because of limited space.
