Live music in Olalla - Elaine Rominelli

Singer-Songwriter Elaine Rominelli brings her unique brand of Indie music to Olalla’s Community Hall

(OLALLA, WA) Olalla welcomes the arrival of spring with a concert by Indie singer-songwriter Elaine Rominelli on Saturday, March 12 at the community hall. The show is part of the Mostly Monthly Music Series presented by the Olalla Community Club.

“Elaine Rominelli’s music is a cross between quirky confessional journaling and an Indie movie soundtrack,” series producer Nolan Pepperdine said. “Her voice is real and her lyrics are utterly haunting and totally original. She calls her music ‘catchy tunes for searching souls.’”

Rominelli’s latest album “The Hour Before” debuted at Number Three on the International Folk DJ chart and was named to four “Favorite Albums of 2015” lists. She’ll be sharing songs from the new album at her Olalla show.

Rominelli was raised in Manhattan, Kansas and suburban Philadelphia, spent several years in San Francisco and is now based in New York. Her songs reflect the sea-to-shining-sea horizons of the places she’s called home.

“She’s a tremendous singer,” Pepperdine said. “And long after the show ends the music is still spinning in your head.”

The March 12 show begins with an all-invited potluck at 6pm. Music starts at 7pm. “Just bring a dish to share and get to know other music lovers and hang out with Elaine,” Pepperdine said.

The next installment of the Mostly Monthly Music Series will feature a rare and very special evening with Nina Gerber and Chris Webster on April 10, followed on May 7 by a visit from renowned singer/storyteller Ronny Cox.

The monthly concerts are presented by the Olalla Community Club, a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1937. Suggested donation is $15-20, but nobody is ever turned away, Pepperdine said.
