Gig Harbor, WA – January 12th, 2017 – The new year is here and Gig Harbor is ready with a full calendar of events each month. This town offers big entertainment options with the wide variety of events, festivals, runs and performances. From now through February 12th, the waterfront Harbor History Museum is presenting “Arts and Artifacts – Gig Harbor Netsheds,” examining the rich history and current influence of Gig Harbor netsheds.

Other highlighted events include the Gig Harbor Paddlers Cup (April 8), Maritime Gig & Blessing of the Fleet (June 3 and 4), Gig Harbor Garden Tour (June 24 and 25), Gig Harbor Summer Arts Festival (July 15 and 16), Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival (July 29), and Donkey Creek Chum Festival (Nov. 18) – an activity-filled, community celebration of the return of salmon to local waters.
