Meaningful Movies in Gig Harbor Presents the Documentary "A Plastic Ocean"

Nov 13, 5:30 pm at the Gig Harbor City Council meeting 2 proposed ordinances will be presented to help reduce plastic litter in Gig Harbor.  We’ll talk about those ordinances and how you can help.

WHO:  MEANINGFUL MOVIES in GIG HARBOR presents the documentary “A Plastic Ocean”.   Come for the free movie.  Stay for the stimulating community discussion.

WHEN:  Friday, October 12, 6 pm for snacks; 6:30 pm for the movie

WHAT “A Plastic Ocean”  In the center of the Pacific Ocean researchers found more plastic than plankton. A Plastic Ocean documents the newest science, proving how plastics, once they enter the oceans, break up into small particulates that enter the food chain where they attract toxins like a magnet. These toxins are stored in seafood’s fatty tissues, and eventually consumed by us. We call all help fix this
