Meaningful Movies in Gig Harbor Presents the Documentary "Sin By Silence"

Meaningful Movies in Gig Harbor presents the documentary “Sin by Silence" on Friday, January 11, 2019, 6 pm for snacks; 6:30 pm for the movie. Held at 11051 Peacock Hill, inside Agnus Dei Church.

"Come for the free movie.  Stay for the stimulating community discussion."

“Sin by Silence” is an emotionally packed documentary that tells the personal and shocking stories of these courageous women who have learned from their past, are changing their future and, most importantly, teach us how domestic violence affects each and every person.

Inside California's oldest women's prisons, the first inmate-initiated and led group in the U.S. prison system was created by inmate Brenda Clubine to help abused women speak out and realize they are not alone. Over the past two decades, the women of CWAA, Convicted Women Against Abuse, have changed laws for battered women and raised awareness for those on the outside.

The event is free to the public; donation is gratefully accepted.

Meaningful Movies in Gig Harbor is dedicated to connecting one person to one person at a time through rebuilding a storytelling tradition and fostering vital community dialogue. Film coupled with meaningful conversation is a subtle, yet powerful way of recognizing these similarities, rebuilding a storytelling tradition and fostering a vital community dialog. Always the 2nd Friday of every month, 6:30 pm at 10511 Peacock Hill Ave, Gig Harbor.
