Gig Harbor, Wash. April 8, 2013 – Volunteers from around the Greater Gig Harbor area will come together on Saturday April 20th for the annual Parks Appreciation Day event. We're celebrating Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Parks Week and your local parks in one fun event.

Always a favorite day in Gig Harbor, Parks Appreciation Day is an opportunity to show your love of our local parks by giving back to the earth. The City of Gig Harbor, PenMet Parks and KeyPen Parks all work together to beautify and maintain the treasured park lands.

From 9am-Noon its fun for all ages to volunteer! Get involved and help plant, prune, push, pull and play! No need to pre-register, just show up at a site and help out! Large groups and organizations, give us a call so we can plan ahead for your group.
