85 art entries from all over the United States and Canada are on display at the Civic Center Lobby until December 2nd.

The reception sponsored by PAL to kick-off the show at the Gig Harbor Civic Center was a huge success. Over 150 people attended the October 6th reception drawing guests from Washington, California, and as far away as Belgium and Costa Rica. Juror Richard McKinley was on hand to introduce the show with praise for the diversity and skill represented by the artists. Mr. McKinley was quoted as saying, "I am only one person who on a given day at a given time chose a particular piece of art for an award." The Gig Harbor Arts Commission presented the first-ever "Commissioners Choice" Award during the awards ceremony.
