John C. Robinson, Ph.D., D.Min. is a clinical psychologist with a second doctorate in ministry, an ordained interfaith minister, and the author of seven books on the interface of psychology and spirituality. His professional work specialized in midlife, men's issues, the integration of psychotherapy and spirituality, the nature of first-hand mystical experience, the psychology and spirituality of aging, and the archetypal revelations of myth and fairytale. A full time writer now, his recent works include a memoir/narrative on the transformational potential of aging “The Three Secrets of Aging”, a collection of fairy tales “Bedtime Stories for Elders: What Fairy Tales Can Teach Us About the New Aging”, and a forthcoming work on a new myth for aging men “What Aging Men Want: Homer's Odyssey as a Parable of Male Aging”.
Charron Plumer and her daughter, Deshna Ubeda, have teamed up to write their first novel, a page-turning suspense filled story set in the local Pacific Northwest and the exotic location of Costa Rica. Like the mother-daughter writing team, you will find the mother-daughter relationship in “Missing Mothers” a strong testament to the love and unrelenting determination of two women to persevere and survive captivity in the jungle of Costa Rica. Charron and Deshna live and work in the Pacific Northwest and have spent extensive time in Costa Rica. Deshna writes for a non-profit organization and has been published in the Huffington Post. Charron writes in her work as a public health nurse and is currently working on a sequel to “Missing Mothers”.
