Public Invited to Parks Commission Open House September 2nd

City looking for input on art placement

Gig Harbor, WA. August 19th – The public is invited to attend a Parks Commission sponsored Open House on Wednesday, September 2nd at 4:00 pm, for the purpose of gathering input that will help with the placement of future art pieces. The Open House will take place at the Gig Harbor Civic Center, 3510 Grandview Street. The goal is to collect feedback in order to make recommendations to City Council for possible locations in city parks.

The Open House will provide the public information and images on three art pieces and ask for input on planning efforts for the placement of the art. Under consideration include a totem pole recently donated by a long time resident, and two pieces from Gig Harbor Midday Rotary, the Wish Fish Statue and a Peace Pole.
