ROAD STRIPING PROJECT THIS WEEK IN GIG HARBOR
Gig Harbor, Wash. September 9, 2013 – The City of Gig Harbor asks for your patience during the road striping and pavement markings project operated by Pierce County throughout Gig Harbor beginning September 10th. The project will require approximately three days for completion, depending on weather conditions.
Pierce County Public Works will be striping all major arterials in the City. This may include center lines, lane lines, edge lines (if there is no curb or raised edge) and buttons (also referred to as raised pavement markings or ‘turtles’). Drivers are asked to drive slowly around painting equipment and watch for coned off areas. Roadway paint requires approximately two minutes dry time.
