Rokkerbox rocks Olalla Community Hall March 14

It’s a big ol’ box full of rock & roll

(OLALLA, WA) The Olalla Community Club’s Second Saturday Music Series will welcome the eclectic Gig Harbor band Rokkerbox to the community hall on Mar. 14.

You’ll likely hear covers of many of your favorite tunes from the 60s through the 80s – Rokkerbox’s set list includes tunes by AC/DC, Led Zeplin, Eric Clapton, George Thorogood, Neil Young and many more.

“This show will be like nothing you’ve ever heard at the Community Hall before,” said series organizer Nolan Pepperdine. “Every Rokkerbox show is different with a mix of jazz and swing, Southern rock, blues, reggae, country and good ol’ rock & roll. And we’ll have plenty of space for dancing.”

The evening begins with an everybody-is-welcome potluck at 6 p.m. for those who want to get to know the performer. Music starts at 7 p.m.

Admission is by donation. “It’s pretty much pay-what-you-can,” Pepperdine said. “Nobody will be turned away from our clubhouse concerts.”

Proceeds from the concerts are split between the artist and the Olalla Community Club, a non-profit organization that has been serving the community since 1937.

The next Clubhouse Concert will feature Carl Tosten on Apr. 11 followed by Michigan’s popular American roots musician Lindsay Lou. The final show in this year’s Clubhouse Concerts series takes place June 27, with a show by Rupert Wates.
