Spring Gig Harbor Calendar of Events Set for 2017

Gig Harbor, Wash. March 20th, 2017 - Gig Harbor is ready with a variety of spring events to help you blossom into summer! This small town offers big entertainment options with the wide variety of events, festivals, runs and performances throughout the year. Information on these events as well as many more events can be found by visiting Gig Harbor’s community website

o April 8th & 9th Gig Harbor Paddlers Cup – Watch kayak, canoe and stand up paddler board races around the harbor and see new products and learn new things about paddler sports. Also included is the Cross Narrows Challenge and Dragon Boat competition. Event takes place at Eddon Boat Park. 10am-4pm

o May 5th -#Community Myxer - an evening to celebrate the people and projects that have been enriching the greater Gig Harbor area. Come and enjoy a night filled with amazing food, cocktails, dancing and stories. The proceeds of this event go to the Greater Gig Harbor Foundation for their many programs that help support our community.

o May 20th Gig Harbor Beer Festival, Uptown Gig Harbor – Enjoy this beer festival and Uptown too, all day in Gig Harbor. Noon – 5pm. 21 and over.

o May 27th Gig Harbor Street Scramble – Free and fun for the whole family! Scramble on foot or on your bike! Race starts at Donkey Creek Park in downtown Gig Harbor. Race begins at 10:00am.

o June 1st Waterfront Farmers Market - Join the community along the beautiful waterfront Thursdays June through August, to shop the freshest produce, meats, and seafood from local vendors. Additionally, find unique artwork, or pick up the prettiest bouquet from a local grower.

o June 3rd & 4th Maritime Gig Festival and Blessing of the Fleet- Ahoy Mateys! Come out for this annual fun, family event with parade, race, food, music and much, much more! Event times vary – visit

o June 10th Waterfront Guided Walking Tour - Free to the public the 1.3 mile route hugs the waterfront beginning at the Maritime Pier and ends at the Bogue Viewing Platform in the Finholm District. There are stops at intriguing points of interest along the way. The tour will be offered rain or shine on most Saturdays at 10am during the summer beginning in June through the end of August. Meet at the Maritime Pier 15 minutes prior to the 10 am start time. A second tour will take place each Wednesday afternoon during the summer.

o June 24th & 25th Gig Harbor Garden Tour – experience the beautiful private gardens of the greater Gig Harbor area at this annual two day tour.

o June 27th through August 15th Summer Sounds at Skansie Outdoor Concerts (Tuesdays)- Gig Harbor’s favorite summertime activity, free and fun on the waterfront at Skansie Brothers Park in Gig Harbor every week through the summer. All concerts begin at 6:30pm. Gig Harbor parks are smoking and alcohol free parks. See the line up at
