Wheels on the Water Car Show is Back!


Sunday, June 7th during the Maritime Gig!

Gig Harbor, WA – The Wheel’s on the Water Car Show is back by popular demand at this year’s Maritime Gig Festival. Event coordinators expect another great group of vehicles again this year.

On Sunday, June 7th vehicles will be on display from 11am – 4:30pm in front of Skansie Brothers Park on the closed portion of Harborview Drive between Pioneer Way and Rosedale Street. In addition this year the festival will be expanding up Pioneer to Tarabochia which will allow for at least 30 more vehicles! Those who would like to put their vehicle on display should pre-register now as space for this show is limited to about 85 cars, trucks, & motorcycles! The registration fee is $10 and increased $5 on the day of the event. The event is free to the public, as are all events during the Maritime Gig Festival. Participants can get their pre-registration form and all the necessary details online at . Car Show trophies, presented by Gig Harbor’s Fix Auto Collision, will be awarded in up to 11 categories with judging beginning at noon, with an award presentation on stage at Skansie Brothers Park at 2:45pm.

There are several activities that will be going on throughout the day and children can plan on more activities Sunday including the popular inflatable Pirate Ship and the Springfree Trampoline at the park on Sunday.

Sunday activities also include the traditional Blessing of the Fleet at 1pm. The yacht festival from Saturday will continue on the expanded temporary docks, and musical entertainment from community performers will take place starting at 10:00 a.m. The legendary Shy Boys will be closing out the Maritime Gig. Be sure to snag yourself a seat! It will be a performance you won’t want to miss.
