World Music Returns to Concert Series at Harbor History Museum
A whole new world of music is coming to Gig Harbor! Harbor History Museum is excited to host the world music group, the Eurasia Consort, to perform at the Museum on Thursday, November 17th as part of the fall series of the Third Thursdays at the Museum concerts.
Artists August Denhard, Tomoko Sugawara, Rex Benincasa, Munir Nurettin Beken, Tony Gomez, and Sr. Jo Baim make up this highly talented and knowledgeable collective. Influenced by music long lost to the ears of Western audiences, the Eurasia Consort explores the sounds and traditions of medieval China, the Islamic world, and Europe. Reimagining these worlds for contemporary audiences, their art provides a unique opportunity for listeners to experience and understand a diversity of cultures.
Doors open at 6:00pm for happy hour, featuring a cash bar with regional beers and wine. Tickets are $18 for members and $25 for non-members and include entry to Museum galleries for the evening. To purchase tickets, visit Harbor History Museum’s Buy Tickets page or call 253-858-6722.
